Birganj. The 21st General Assembly of Himalayan Distillery Limited, which produces the most sold Golden Oak liquor in Nepal, has passed the 100% dividend proposed from last year’s profit.
The general meeting held in Birganj has passed a resolution to give 75 percent bonus shares and 25 percent (including tax purposes) cash dividend. The company had also given 100% dividend. The company has been giving 100% dividend for the past three years. Pohor gave half cash and half bonus shares.
The paid up capital of the company is Rs 8677 million. The reserve fund of the company is one billion 34 million rupees. The company made a net profit of 1.4 billion last financial year.
From this profit, 100% dividend of the paid-up capital is going to be given. After passing the bonus shares, the company’s paid-up capital has increased by 657 million rupees. The shareholders have received a total of Rs 21 crore 69 lakh as cash dividend.
The company’s chief executive officer, Mahesh Prasad Pokharel, said that the authorized capital equal to 900 million will reach 1.6 billion. Employees and laborers of the company will get a bonus of 15 crore 64 lakh rupees from the profit.
Last year the workers got a 9 months bonus, but this year they will get a bonus equal to more than 18 months salary.
Akhileshwar Prasad Singh, chairman of the company’s board of directors, presented the annual report.
